I can not call myself without fault in anything. I would not. No one is perfect except Jesus alone. But I do have a dilemma. I need someone to let me know if they think the same way I do. Maybe it is wrong thinking. I pray God will show me that it is, if it is.
I cannot get my head around/believe in so called 'near death experiences'. I have heard a lot of people have had them and nearly all have the same story. But there is a couple of things that feel wrong about them.
Most people report seeing a light. The only light that is a part of our lives during and after would be that of Jesus/God/Holy Spirit. (John 8:12 Jesus spoke to the Pharisees again. He said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will have a life filled with light and will never live in the dark.") Why would God after already giving us another chance in life ask us if we want to return? God gives and takes away and He only ever does so in His right time. So if He took our life in His right time why would He give it back? Even Jesus wouldn't 'ask' people if they wanted to live again he commanded/loved them back to life.
Lazarus (John 11:43 After Jesus had said this, he shouted as loudly as he could, "Lazarus, come out!")
Young Girl (Matthew 9:24 He said to them, "Leave! The girl is not dead. She's sleeping." But they laughed at him. 25 When the crowd had been put outside, Jesus went in, took her hand, and the girl came back to life.)

Are we not only promised one life? In the bible it does say many times until death (which would be final). Jesus mentions that He has come to give us life & life to the full (which I believe to start the moment you believe in Jesus).
My belief, although it may not be correct is :-- are people being deceived by Satan. We are told he is the great deceiver and will come at us in any way He can. Could this light that these people having so called NDE's be the False Christ?
The word “light” is Divinely rich in its comprehensiveness and meaning. Its material splendor is used throughout the Scriptures as the symbol and synonym of all that is luminous and radiant in the mental, moral and spiritual life of men and angels; while the eternal God, because of His holiness and moral perfection, is pictured as “dwelling in light unapproachable” (1Ti_6:16). Every phase of the word, from the original light in the natural world to the spiritual glory of the celestial, is found in Holy Writ. (International Standard Bible Encyclopedia)
2Thessalonians 2: 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. 16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, 17 Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.

Much of this was posted recently to another friend who in this case was suggesting God may have taken holidays while she often allows room for "angels" and "light" in her spiritual outlook.
ReplyDeleteThe deceiver is but an angel (yes a fallen one) and we as believers in Christ will be in the position of judging them - no wonder the war is on.
In "the book" - he gave us dominion and we gave it away - He gave us relationship and we turned our back - He gave us truth and we preferred lies - He gave us himself in Jesus Christ and we killed Him - He has now left with us His Holy Spirit so all may be reached and know Him and still we chase after silliness.
If my creation treated me like that I would take a holiday.
God certainly has not and strives daily to win each and every one of us from the deception, lies and darkness we have chosen.
We need to be honest with God and take Him at His word.
Read through the gospel of John chapter 1 and consider the implications of taking Him at His word.
We are not helpless in the face of deception - consider God's perspective - He gave us dominion in the context of being in relationship with Him - It was always His desire... to be intimately involved with each and every one of us.
It is not in His character to renege on any commitment - including the one that gives us free choice to be in relationship with Him.
Indeed, because of His love for us, He cannot be "close" to us for although we are created in His image we have chosen to be different to Him. Consider simply Light dispels darkness. If He intervenes and comes close as we are we will be dispelled by His light - simply - both cannot exist together.
This is where Jesus is different from every other religion or philosophy - the Word became flesh and dwelt among us - He became the light of men and the light of the world.
Again - simply - if we are without Jesus we are without Light.
If we are without Light we cannot be in relationship with God and to be near God would destroy us.
God's heart is torn, and not one abuse will go "unrewarded", ignorance of Jesus as the only Light and the only Truth will end in separation from “The Light” forever
Another extremely poignant verse to consider in this context is
2 Corinthians 11:12-15
12 And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. 13 For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
In short – I agree with you – this is far more likely another deception from the liar in an endeavour to deceive as many as he can before his final defeat.
The previous comments were not my words. I only posted it. A friend of mine wrote it.
