God is Faithful

GOD'S FAITHFULNESS

God has been faithful to His creation from the beginning of time. He has watched over us and allowed us in our freewill to make wrong choices but has always continued to make a way for the people He created to return to Him. Most recently through His Son Jesus.

It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, Psalm 92:1 & 2
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23 & 24 (Good News Bible)

GOD’S FAITHFULNESS
In My Life

He has given me life & knowledge of HimThe Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life. Job 33:4
For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ
. 2Corinthians 4:6

He has given me a new day each day, to serve and Worship Him. One of the many blessings He has been faithful to bestow.
From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. John 1:16

He provides for me throughout every day. Feeds me, spiritually and physically.
Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'Matthew 4:4
He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God his Savior. Psalm 24:5
|
He lavishes me with His love.
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Ephesians 1:3

He gives me shelter, He watches over all I do, all I am. He guides my steps and I know that He will be always there to catch me when I fall.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
Your constant love is my guide; your faithfulness always leads me.
 Psalm 26:3  (Good News Bible)

I am truly free by the free gift of grace he has given. His only Son Jesus died a terrible death in my place so I may have Salvation from sin.
to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace. Ephesians 1:6 & 7

I will finish here with one of the promises that speaks of God’s faithfulness to me in answering my prayers. One of my children has turned back to Him. I know he does hear my prayers and answers in His perfect time.  All of my children have heard His Word and I know they will all return to Him.
As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55: 10 & 11

(unless otherwise mentioned all scripture comes from the NIV)

NDE's?

I can not call myself without fault in anything. I would not. No one is perfect except Jesus alone. But I do have a dilemma. I need someone to let me know if they think the same way I do. Maybe it is wrong thinking. I pray God will show me that it is, if it is.

I cannot get my head around/believe in so called 'near death experiences'. I have heard a lot of people have had them and nearly all have the same story. But there is a couple of things that feel wrong about them.

Most people report seeing a light. The only light that is a part of our lives during and after would be that of Jesus/God/Holy Spirit. (John 8:12 Jesus spoke to the Pharisees again. He said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will have a life filled with light and will never live in the dark.") Why would God after already giving us another chance in life ask us if we want to return? God gives and takes away and He only ever does so in His right time. So if He took our life in His right time why would He give it back? Even Jesus wouldn't 'ask' people if they wanted to live again he commanded/loved them back to life.
Lazarus (John 11:43 After Jesus had said this, he shouted as loudly as he could, "Lazarus, come out!")
Young Girl (Matthew 9:24 He said to them, "Leave! The girl is not dead. She's sleeping." But they laughed at him. 25 When the crowd had been put outside, Jesus went in, took her hand, and the girl came back to life.)

Are we not only promised one life? In the bible it does say many times until death (which would be final). Jesus mentions that He has come to give us life & life to the full (which I believe to start the moment you believe in Jesus).

My belief, although it may not be correct is :-- are people being deceived by Satan. We are told he is the great deceiver and will come at us in any way He can. Could this light that these people having so called NDE's be the False Christ?

The word “light” is Divinely rich in its comprehensiveness and meaning. Its material splendor is used throughout the Scriptures as the symbol and synonym of all that is luminous and radiant in the mental, moral and spiritual life of men and angels; while the eternal God, because of His holiness and moral perfection, is pictured as “dwelling in light unapproachable” (1Ti_6:16). Every phase of the word, from the original light in the natural world to the spiritual glory of the celestial, is found in Holy Writ. (International Standard Bible Encyclopedia)

2Thessalonians 2: 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. 16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, 17 Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.

Some more verses to back up my thoughts.
  • Matthew 22:32  I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
  • Mark 12:27  He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
  • Luke 16:31  And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
  • Luke 20:38  For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.
  • Rom 6:9  Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.  (this cannot be said about mere mortals)
  • 1 Corinthians 15
